Class- WINTER 2026 Nancy Bates Beanie

Nancy Bates has designed hundreds of beanies using a pretty standard formula. In this class you can choose your own adventure and choose from any of her patterns. 

SKILLS NEEDED: casting on, knitting, purling, knitting in the round, decreasing, binding off

SKILLS LEARNED: how to read colorwork charts, trapping floats when and if needed, tips for keeping even tension with colorwork knitting, many tips and trips and tricks for beanie making and personalizing your work.

CLASS DATES: 3 Wednesdays // 6pm – 8pm// January 7, 14, 21

COST: $65, plus class supplies listed below. All supplies purchased at Cream City Yarn for this class will receive a 10% discount.

Pattern: Your choice of any Nancy Bates Beanie. Ravelry Patterns can be found HERE - or - use any Nancy Bates books that you own or purchase Knitting in the USA

**NOTE: Nancy Bates beanies requires multiple colors, usually in worsted or heavy dk yarns. We likely will never have all the exact yarns and colors used in every pattern. You'll need to be flexible with your yarn choices. These projects are great for using stash and scraps, etc. 

Classes and workshops require a minimum of 3 students. An emailed notification of cancellation will be sent 3 days before the class if the minimum is not met. In the case of shop cancellations, all registered students will be refunded the class registration fee. A refund of the class registration fee will be issued if you cancel 14 days prior to class start date. Student cancellations, missed classes, or no-shows cannot be refunded, exchanged, or transferred.
