Class - Learn to Knit a Sock from a Tube

Learn to knit a pair of socks from a CRANKED TUBE! Lisa will teach you how to measure, cut into, and knit a modified Afterthought Heel, while learning how to add the Cuff and Toe. You will need to choose your yarn and have it cranked into a tube at the shop prior to class. Class size limited to 6 adults.
SKILLS NEEDED:
knitting, purling, decreasing, basic experience with small circumference knitting (magic loop or DPNs), knitting with fingering weight on small needles
SKILLS LEARNED:
pattern reading, knitting an afterthought heel, picking up stitches, kitchener stitch, sock care, weaving in ends

COST: $60, plus the cost of supplies. All class supplies purchased at Cream City Yarn qualify for a 10% discount.

Yarn:
1 (50 gram) skein of Sock Yarn CRANKED INTO A TUBE PRIOR TO CLASS
1 (50 gram) skein of CONTRAST Sock Yarn for Cuff, Heel, and Toe
Needles & Notions:
1 US 1/ 2.50 mm 40” circular needle (magic loop) or 2 24” circular needles (2 circ method)
tapestry needle, SHARP scissors, tape measure/ruler & stitch markers

Classes and workshops require a minimum of 3 students. An emailed notification of cancellation will be sent 3 days before the class if the minimum is not met. In the case of shop cancellations, all registered students will be refunded the class registration fee. A refund of the class registration fee will be issued if you cancel 14 days prior to class start date. Student cancellations, missed classes, or no-shows cannot be refunded, exchanged, or transferred.
