Starting June 17 and running all summer long!
Why knit socks?
- Cold feet, of course! As soon as September hits we can feel the turn in the weather and our feet begin to freeze in sockless shoes.
- Wearing gorgeous, hand-knit socks makes us take better care of our feet. Weird, but true!
- As a knitting project, socks are small and easy to take with you. Great for waiting rooms, lineups and other boring occasions where knitting is appropriate.
- Knitting and wearing beautiful socks is like wearing gorgeous lingerie. Sure, no one sees it when you’re out and about. Sure, you could just buy something cheap from a department or discount store. Sure, making it is not the most economical option. But doesn’t it feel so great to know you’re wearing something amazing in secret?
- Socks are always useful, even if you pick a crazy color or something that isn’t in perfect alignment with your wardrobe.

Earth Day is on its way, April 22 will be here before we know it. This is the one time of year where we can all come together to show our support for environmental protection. We must keep our Earth clean as our children and children’s children will be living in it for years to come. Plant a tree , grow some flowers , ride a bike ; help out in any way you can.
Of course the one way we can bring attention to Earth Day is by knitting and crocheting. Our favorite skill comes in handy on this day because we can use our leftover pieces and scraps of yarn and recycle what we would have thrown away. Whatever you choose to make this Earth Day, make sure you show it off proudly.
Cream City Yarn is proud to be an eco-friendly small business and we want to share the spirit of Earth Day ALL MONTH LONG! We will be offering our RECYCLED, REUSEABLE BAGS FOR FREE WITH ANY PURCHASE OVER $50. If you already have this bag, this is a great chance to get another! AND DON’T FORGET- every time you bring your Cream City Yarn bag with you and use it as your shopping bag, we will give you an extra punch on your Frequent Fiber Card! And every punch gets you that much closer to FREE yarn!

January 11, 2016; 5:00pm- Madison Knitting Guild
Cream City Yarn is excited to be the “vendor of the month” at the January Madison Knitting Guild Meeting. The Madison Knitting Guild is one of the largest Guilds in America and we are thrilled to be invited to participate. If you are in the area, please stop by!
The idea behind the design is very simple. For each point scored by the Green Bay Packers, you will knit 1 round in the GREEN. For example, if the Packers score a touchdown, knit 6 rounds. If they get the extra point, knit 1 more round. Should the opposing team score on the subsequent possession, their points will be knit in the GOLD (following the same rules noted above). You will follow this structure for the entire game, switching back and forth between the Green and Gold depending on which team scores. At the end of the game, knit a round of purl stitches in the WHITE. This round indicates the end of a game. All rounds will be worked in knit stitch, except the game-dividing purl rounds. We loved the color and weight of Rowan Purewool dk. Pick up Rowan Purewool today!
Specials, raffles, cookies and fun all day long! This is a DO NOT MISS EVENT! We promise you won’t be disappointed!
