Class - Pressed Flowers Hat Class Fall 2023

Want a burst of florals with Pressed Flowers? This hat pattern is perfect for learning mosaic/slip-stitch while dabbling in other skills. Great class for advancing beginners!

SKILLS NEEDED: knitting, purling, knitting in the round

SKILLS LEARNED: increasing, decreasing, mosaic/slip-stitch, making a double-brim, reading charts, working with DPNs

COST: $45, plus the cost of supplies listed below. All supplies purchased at CCY for this class will receive a 10% discount.

PRE-CLASS HOMEWORK: Before class meets, cast on 128 stitches of MC; place a stitch marker and join for working in the round. Knit in K1, P1 pattern until brim is at preferred length (pattern suggests 24 rounds).

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR THE CLASS:

• YARN: Choose TWO contrasting colors of sport weight yarn.
  *Main Color - 150 yards of sport weight yarn (Farmer’s Daughter Recollect, Berroco Lanas Light)
  *CC - 75 yards of sport weight yarn (Spincycle Dyed in the Wool, Farmer’s Daughter Recollect, Berroco Lanas Light)
• NEEDLES & NOTIONS & PATTERN:
  *US 3/ 3.25mm 16 inch circular needle
  *US 5 /3.75mm 16 inch circular needle and your choice of Magic Loop or DPNs
  *darning needle, scissors, tape measure, & stitch markers
