Class- Corin's Design Workshop Fall 2023

This two-part workshop will inspire and help you with the beginning steps of designing your own knit or crochet creations, from finding inspiration all the way to publishing your pattern.
The first session will be a time to hear from designer and CCY Team Member Corin Purifoy as she speaks about her journey into design. She’ll have her designs on display and you’ll have the chance to ask her questions about her process.
The second session will be a hands-on time to work together to get your own creations on the pages of Ravelry and out into the world!

SKILLS NEEDED: Knowledge of how to knit or crochet - this is not a class to learn the basics.

HOMEWORK: for second session only
Find a knit or crochet pattern that you've enjoyed making and that you believe is very well-written. Write a few notes about what you like about it. If you enjoy swatching, or have a stitch in mind for a pattern, knit or crochet a swatch and bring to second class.

SUPPLIES NEEDED: for second session only
Notebook, pencil/pen, ideas and inspiration, personal stitch swatches to incorporate into a design, stitch pattern books, crochet hooks, knitting needles, and yarn to work up potential swatches.
