Class - Art Yarn on the Drop Spindle

Build upon your spinning skills and learn how to use your drop spindle to create gorgeous art yarns that are always unique and one of a kind! This class will explore different techniques that will bring a new level of creativity and a whole lot of texture to your yarns and fiber projects whether you're a spinner, knitter, crocheter, weaver, or all of the above! We will learn how to combine textures and use your creativity as we experiment with techniques such as thick and thin singles , plied coils, shells, beaded, incorporating locks and more! Students will also learn how to blend and create beautiful art batts! The techniques that you will learn can then be used at the spinning wheel if you wish. Students should feel comfortable with the basics of using a drop spindle.
